What's fantastic about this library is that you can participate to the extent that your life allows. You can have a library card mailed to your home and have access to digital apps Libby and Hoopla without ever interacting with anyone. You can go in to check out books, art, and so much more and interact with the staff. Or you can attend and bring your family to any of the many Library events: Discussion groups, D&D nights, craft nights, sing-a-longs and more. There are free events for kids including Lego club, movie nights, crafternoons+STEM activities (seasonal and all-encompassing) and learning to play bass guitar. Plus the library has a computer lab and classes where you can work toward earning your GED. The City and the library want community member to succeed, learn and thrive.

Great library! Great staff! But they need to get rid of or do a really deep clean of the fabric chairs in the media room where they keep the newspapers and magazines you can literally see layers of dead skin and sweat from years of sweaty people and homeless people sitting on them. You can also smell it.

The fabulous library staff is what makes this library truly special. They run so many great programs for people of different ages and interests. I have attended book groups, experimented with computer software, learned about pruning and bees in gardening workshops, gotten to play new games and do crafts I never would have tried on my own. I have even gotten comfortable with reading ebooks using the Libby system! None of those things would be possible without the committed efforts of a very talented, enthusiastic, and helpful staff who truly support the mission of the Library to serve our local community.

Beautiful library with excellent staff and events! They have a great selection of new releases that can be checked out digitally or in print. I love that they are open in the evening, making it possible to swing by for a good book after dark!

The library has a great selection, both of physical and digital materials. I love the reading challenges that help motivate my kiddo to read! They do a lot of events that are open to the community as well. We’re fortunate to have this here in Las Cruces!

Love this library! Staff are so helpful, knowledgeable, and kind! My daughter loves the books that read to her. Definitely one of our favorite places to go when it’s too hot outside.
